Our jewelry is comprised of various types of beads and materials. We
like to ensure that the quality of our items is unsurpassed. Below is
a description of some of the most popular materials that are found in our
jewelry selection. |
|
Due to the new regulations enacted by the CPSIA, all
manufacturers of children's jewelry are no longer allowed to use Swarovski
crystals and pearls in their jewelry. We will be using other beads
(such as lead-free glass beads and freshwater pearls) in place of the
Swarovski crystals and pearls in all our jewelry made for children 12 years
of age and under. For more information, please

Thank you. |

Cat's Eye Beads: All our cat's eye
beads are the finest quality (Grade A). These beads are sometimes
referred to as "fiber-optic". They change hue as they capture light
and have a band of light running through the center that resembles a "cat's
eye". We purchase these beads from the finest jewelry supply stores in
Manhattan. Swarovski Austrian Crystals: We use genuine Swarovski crystals which exceed all others in terms of quality and excellence. These beads are top quality machine faceted, optically pure, 32% lead crystal. The facets have highly polished surfaces that create a brilliance and sparkle unmatched by other crystal beads. Swarovski Faux Pearls: Swarovski's crystal pearls have a leaded crystal core that makes them heavier than synthetic glass pearls. Swarovski's pearl coating is similar to a natural pearl luster and is consistent in color. It is also resistant to perspiration, UV rays, perfumes, scratches and washing and warms to the skin like real pearls do. Sterling Silver: Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. All our jewelry findings, clasps and charms are sterling silver. With proper care, fine sterling silver will last a lifetime. Just as all precious metals do, sterling silver will oxidize over time, however, it can be cleaned with a sterling silver polishing cloth. Beading Wire: We use the best stringing wire in the jewelry industry. It is made with 49 miniature strands of stainless steel which are stranded together and then coated in nylon This wire combines the soft, supple feel of thread with the strength and longevity of stainless steel. It is one of the softest, most flexible beading wire that allows jewelry to drape naturally without kinking. Polymer Clay Beads: All polymer clay beads are made with extremely durable clay, however, they are by no means indestructible. As with all jewelry, please never leave a child under the age of 3 unsupervised while wearing any of our items. Our jewelry does contain small parts which may pose a choking hazard for small children. |
